Services We Provide

We Provide the Following Services:

Surgery

As part of our commitment to our patients, The Animal Clinic has further invested in our surgical facility.

One addition is a digital vital sign monitoring system specifically designed for veterinary clinics. This technology integrates the monitoring of electrocardiography (ECG), non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP), pulse oximetry (SpO2), Capnography (Co2) and temperature – similar to the systems used in human hospitals.

Anaesthetic machines installed in both the surgical and dental suites assist us in ensuring your pet’s safety during an anesthetic. We have even installed body warmers to keep your pets warm and cozy during their surgical procedures.

If you have any questions or would like a tour of our surgical suites, feel free to call for an appointment.

Laser Surgeries

Used extensively in human healthcare, laser technology is a treatment with multiple applications. Now veterinarians have turned to laser surgery, and we are proud to be able to offer this service to our four legged patients.

Laser-surgery

How It Works

The laser is an intense beam of light. Using an instrument that allows it to be precisely controlled, the surgeon uses the laser beam to replace the traditional scalpel. The laser energy instantly vaporizes the water found in tissue, allowing it to “cut” or essentially remove an extremely small area of tissue.

Will Laser Surgery be used for my pet’s treatment?

This is completely based on the type of procedure. If applicable, our veterinarians will discuss with you how laser treatment will be used during your pet’s surgery.

Dental Procedures

MR-in-dentistry

At The Animal Clinic we are proud to have a dental suite equipped with multi speed hand pieces, an ultrasonic sealer, a wet/dry table and a dental radiograph unit.

Digital Radiography

The Animal Clinic is also proud to offer digital radiography to assist in the diagnostics of your pet’s medical concerns.

The benefits of digital versus traditional radiography include improved visual quality, enabling us to better see things such as chicken bones or foil. It also provides enlargement capabilities and computer enhancements such as measurements and notations. The digital images are also easier to send to any specialist by way of CD or email. As well, the reduced radiation required makes it even safer for your pet and our staff, and the results are available more quickly than with traditional x-ray. By eliminating the chemicals associated with processing traditional film, this technology is also safer for the environment.
