While there is no doubt the Internet is a valuable resource, one must be vigilant to ensure information obtained is of good quality. Authors of veterinary health related topics found on the internet are not required to adhere to any standards for medical content or accuracy and it can be difficult to separate the good from the bad. Health Information
A service provided by the Veterinary Information Network (VIN). Information about first-aid, disease, treatment options, nutrition and behavior.
This Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) sponsored site is easy to navigate and has excellent content. Topics include; general health, vaccination, disease & behaviour information, FAQs and ask the expert. There is also a fun kids corner.
This American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) site is excellent, and similar in content to the CVMA site.
Animal Health Channel provides comprehensive, trustworthy information about conditions and diseases that affect animals, as well as pet care and training information. Animal Health Channel is developed and monitored by board-certified veterinarians.
Animal Liscensing
This website discusses oral disease and dental care for pets.
